To provide a better sewage and sanitation service, and strengthen the patching program in Mazatlán, Estrella Palacios Domínguez handed over the keys to a hydropneumatic unit and equipment of cutters and compactors to the General Manager of JUMAPAM, Jorge González Naranjo.
In the presence of workers from the operating agency, who met in the Central District of the JUMAPAM, the Municipal President indicated that the new Vactor vehicle joins the fleet that the Board has and will serve to carry out the desilting work in the sanitary network system, the cutters to cut the streets and repair water leaks, and the compactors to leave the roads in optimal conditions once the repair work is carried out.
Palacios Domínguez highlighted that the commitment of JUMAPAM and the Municipal Government is very great with the Mazatlecos, so great that since the beginning of the current 2024-2027 administration, reports and requests from citizens have been attended to.
The hydropneumatic truck had an investment of 3 and a half million pesos, while the 4 cutters and 4 compactors represented an amount of 300 thousand pesos.
“Today we come to deliver this new machinery that you are seeing here, starting with the famous Vactor, which is so necessary to carry out many desilting jobs, to prevent wastewater from spilling into the streets, and to take care of Above all, the health of our people, and of course, the image of Mazatlán,” he said.
The President highlighted that since the first days of her Government, through JUMAPAM, the MazBachetón program was started, equipment was delivered for patching work, work is being done on the waste disposal campaign to combat the dengue mosquito, direct and close citizen attention in the “Contigo Mazatlán” days, and permanent work in the repair of water leaks and wastewater spills.
For his part, González Naranjo reported that with the Vactor unit a sanitation program will be undertaken in the Golden Zone, which includes visits to businesses, restaurants and hotels to raise awareness about the problem of throwing solid waste and grease into the sewage networks. , which directly impacts the sumps with the collapse of the engines, generating wastewater spills.
In the case of cutters and compactors, field work on patching will be reinforced to repair the 2,000 potholes detected in the city.
