Mazatlán.- The best soccer players in the country will arrive in Mazatlán next year, with the celebration of two national tournaments of the amateur sector of the Mexican Soccer Federation.
The Chupones category will compete from May 28 to June 1, while the Men’s Free category will take place from September 24 to 29.

That marks the return to Sinaloa of these tournaments after a decade of absence, as confirmed by the Association of Organized Soccer Players of the State of Sinaloa (Afoesac).
Fabiola Judith Verde Rosas, director of the Municipal Sports Institute (IMDEM), highlighted the relevance of this opportunity for Mazatlán, a city that continues to strengthen soccer development.
“We are very happy to be able to host, after 10 years without national soccer teams, because it is the result of the work that has been done in this discipline, through the coordination of Leagues, Clubs and the IMDEM League,” he highlighted.

He pointed out that the IMDEM Soccer League will exceed 200 registered teams in 2025, promoting local talent from children’s to youth categories.
Mazatlán has already demonstrated its organizational capacity, leading state championships and managing simultaneous events such as those held in July 2023.
The last national tournament held in the city was the Men’s Freestyle category in 2015, so next year marks a historic return for local sport.
