México City.- The Red Devils of México took their first series of the 2025 season by winning the Yucatan lions 12-2 at the Alfredo Harp Helú stadium.
The victory was the product of an offensive on with 13 hits, including home runs from Ramón Flores and Arístides Aquino, in addition to a solid opening of Justin Courtney, who threw five white inputs.
Ramón Flores and Luis Liberato were key with three hits each. Flores promoted three races, scored one and connected his first homer of the campaign. Liberato added four scored and one produced. Moisés Gutiérrez and Robinson Canó also contributed with two ranges each.
Courtney pointed the victory after dominating in 5.0 entries without allowing careers, with just two admitted hits. He was relieved Tapia, Anraku, Clifton and Nogosek, who kept the lions to the ninth entrance, where they managed to avoid the bleached.

The devils started with a race in the second entry, three in the fifth, four in the sixth and two more in the seventh to complete the dozen. The defeated was César Valdez, who allowed six races in just over four entries.
With this victory, the “Scarlet gang” will rest this Sunday and travel to Cancun to face the Tigers of Quintana Roo in a series of three games that begins on Monday.
