Mazatlán.- Mazatlán prepares to receive a second shipment of cattle from Australia, as reported by the backward Mariel Aquileo Ancona Infanzón, director of the administration of the National Port System (Asipona).
On this occasion, more than five thousand dairy cows of the Holstein race will arrive, recognized for its high production capacity. The cattle will be mobilized by road to entities such as Guanajuato and Aguascalientes, among other destinations in the country.
“We already have everything prepared, just like the past. This is the second time, and a third landing is planned as part of the initial phase. Even proposals are already analyzed to bring more cattle at another time of the year,” he said.
During the first shipment, registered in March with 3 thousand 019 animals, the operation was carried out in approximately 15 hours without any incident or loss of specimens.
This cattle movement is part of an effort to repopulate the national herd of dairy cows and strengthen the country’s agricultural industry. Ancona Infanzón stressed that these actions reflect the coordination between authorities of the three levels of government and the trust that exists to continue with these projects.
