Mazatlán.- The El Chaflán sports field, in the Valles del Ejido neighborhood, vibrated with joy this Saturday, at a unique fair for peace in which soldiers, sailors, national guards and police officers did not patrol … They played!
The Peace Fair of the children turned the enclosure into a smile camp, where more than 500 children celebrated in advance on Children’s Day, which is officially celebrated on April 30.

Between laughs, shouts of emotion and endless ranks to get on patrols, throats and meet the canine units, attendees enjoyed an unforgettable day.
Local entrepreneurs joined with pizzas, soft drinks, sweets and toys for all the little ones.
Judith Martínez Montes, coordinator of the Table of Peace in the south of Sinaloarecalled that these types of activities are part of the federal government’s commitment, headed by President Claudia Sheinbaum, to sow values and prevent negative behaviors from childhood.

“When things are done by conviction, commitment, love and humanism, as our president points out, the results are better,” he said in his message to dozens of families.
On behalf of Mayor Estrella Palacios Domínguez, the secretary of the City Council, Moisés Ríos Pérez, stressed that the security forces joined this time not to combat crimes, but to build bridges of trust and joy in the Mazatlecos homes.
“Today we sow peace and values in our children, because they are the hope of a better Mazatlán,” he said.
At the Peace Fair, boys and girls became small rescuers and soldiers, using tactical equipment, communication radios and participating in simulations organized by Civil Protection and federal forces.
The event was also attended by local deputies Carlos Escobar and Manuel Guerrero in addition to councilors and business leaders of Canirac, Coparmex, Canacintra, Canaco and Codesin, who congratulated the little ones and recognized the importance of promoting healthy living spaces.
