President Estrella Palacios Domínguez details the actions that will be carried out through Strategic Axis 4, “Cultural and Humanist Mazatlán”
Because the soul of Mazatlán is its people, its culture, its traditions and its values, President Palacios Domínguez, detailed the actions that will be carried out in their three years of administration through the Strategic Axis 4, “Cultural and Humanist Mazatlán”, of the Municipal Development Plan 2024-2027.
Among the goals to continue providing greater well -being to all, Palacios Domínguez stressed the benefit of 264,447 people with food pantries, school breakfasts and nutritional guidance; provide 24,000 services to older adults, through support programs, recreation and accompaniment activities; benefit 22,500 people with disabilities with economic support, functional devices and transfer services; Serve 67,800 students with pregnancy prevention programs in adolescents; Actions that will execute the municipal DIF system.
As the first woman in history at the head of Mazatlán, Estrella Palacios stressed that she goes with everything for women: 450 empowerment actions, monitoring of each case of violence and safe spaces such as Unemujeres; 54 collaboration agreements with companies will be established to promote the economic development of entrepreneurs; 1,050 white line articles and household appliances in marginalized colonies will be delivered; All this by the Municipal Institute of Women and the Directorate of Welfare and Social Development of the City Council.
In the impulse and promotion of sports and physical activation, the president of Mazatlán indicated that 150,000 people will benefit with support to promote sports practice; 7,950 sports areas will be evaluated in public spaces for maintenance; In the theme of culture and arts, 300 artistic training and reading promotion workshops will be held through the use of public spaces in libraries and in priority care colonies; 900 artistic functions, conferences and exhibitions during the triennium in the municipality will be carried out; Actions in charge of the Mazatlán Municipal Institute and the Municipal Institute of Culture, Tourism and Art.
It is also projected to benefit 4,500 students with support to promote educational continuity; and digitize 40 percent of the priority documentary collection of the Municipal Historical Archive; works that correspond to the Municipal Institute of Youth and the Municipal Archive.
Palacios Domínguez carried out on April 30 the official presentation of the Municipal Plan for Development 2024-2027, which is structured in 4 strategic axes: Mazatlán safe and in transformation; Modern and sustainable Mazatlán; Ordered and efficient Mazatlán; and cultural and humanistic Mazatlán.
