México City.- The Ministry of Health of Sinaloa He confirmed that 14 students of a primary school were treated for amphetamine poisoning after a celebration of Children’s Day in the municipality of Eldorado.

The students went to a school party to primary school where they study in the town of San Diego, when they returned with their parents, they noticed strange attitudes. They said they moved their tongue in excess, they were over agitated, they did not control their movements and bit their tongue, some even presented hallucinations.

Yesterday, official figures pointed out that 12 children could have been poisoned, but this Saturday, in an information update, the state agency confirmed it for 14 students between 6 and 10 years. “According to the studies carried out by the laboratory, they threw positively,” he said.

The Sinaloense Ministry of Health said that tutors led minors to health institutions after having presented some symptoms of drug intoxication, on April 30.

The head of the agency, Cuitláhuac González Galindo explained that those affected were treated in different health centers, and of these 14, three required hospitalization, two of them entered the Mexican Social Security Institute and a girl at the Pediatric Hospital of Sinaloa. “Fortunately, minors were already discharged,” he said. The official mentioned that, so far this year, around 29 patients poisoned by different substances have been registered, which were adult people. Parents suspect that Jamaica’s water offered during the celebration could be the cause of intoxication. According to testimonies, the children described that the drink had a bitter taste. Having been positive for synthetic drugs, the tutors filed a formal complaint with the Regional Vice Fiscalía Centro and requested that toxicological tests be carried out to the rest of the students of this educational campus. According to local media, there have been 17 cases of illegal substance poisoning in minors so far this year, including those who injured them accidentally. The State Attorney General (FGE) will be responsible for carrying out the corresponding investigations to determine the origin of substances and responsibilities.
