New firefighters graduated in Mazatlán; starts 13 cadets

 

Mazatlán.- This Friday, the Mazatlán Fire Academy celebrated that a group of 10 applicants graduate as new firefighters, who culminated their formation.

And while they graduate as new firefighters, another group of 13 new candidates officially began their preparation to integrate into the fire body of the port.

During the ceremony, Commander Saúl Robles recognized the effort of those who successfully completed the course and welcomed the new cadets, who will be concentrated for five months at the central station located in the Antonio Toledo Corro neighborhood.

“Training is not only physical, it is also mental and emotional. Training as a firefighter changes life, requires sacrifice, commitment and a lot of responsibility,” Robles said.

Preparation includes fire control techniques in different scenarios, first aid and urban rescue.

In addition, applicants must pass rigorous medical and psychological filters, since not anyone can assume the responsibility implies this work.

The commander explained that, although 28 people participated in the selection process, only 13 managed to enter the new generation, the rest were out for medical issues or for not approveing ​​psychometric exams.

“We seek quality about quantity, we want to form committed and trained firefighters to provide decent service to the Mazatlecos,” he emphasized.

With this new group, Mazatlán firefighters reinforces its commitment to the security and well -being of the community, betting on integral and human training for its elements.
