Mazatlán.- The dream of thousands of Mazatlán families of having their own home is increasingly closer to becoming a reality, as the Mazatlán City Council advances the ambitious Housing of Wellbeing project.
This project foresees the construction of 10 thousand homes aimed at improving the quality of life of the most vulnerable sectors of the municipality.
The director of Welfare and Social Development, Javier García Ruiz, reported that the program is in a key phase of technical and legal planning.

At this time, he said, feasibility studies and land reports are being carried out, in coordination with various agencies, including the Federal Electricity Commission, to guarantee that the selected spaces meet all the necessary requirements.
“We are working on all the rulings that the land issue entails; we already have some spaces located, and the president has instructed us to force work to complete this long-awaited project,” García Ruiz highlighted.
The official explained that although the project has raised great expectations among citizens, the registry of beneficiaries is not yet open, since the technical studies and the delimitation of polygons must first be completed.
“For now the registration is closed. The call will be opened next year and will be officially announced, so that all interested parties can participate with transparency and certainty.”

García Ruiz called on the population to stay informed only through official channels, such as the pages of Conavi, Fovissste and Infonavit, after false information circulated about alleged advance registrations or improper charges.
The Wellbeing Housing project is part of the Municipal Government’s strategy to meet the housing demand in Mazatlán, promoting social inclusion and orderly urban development.
With this initiative, we seek to ensure that more families have a decent home, with access to basic services and in safe environments.
“What we want is for each Mazatlán family to have the opportunity to live with well-being and dignity, that is the commitment of this government,” said García Ruiz.
With the studies underway and inter-institutional coordination, the project begins to take shape, emerging as one of the most relevant social actions for Mazatlán in the coming years.
