Government of Mazatlán delivers 200 new financial supports for single mothers

With the aim of reaffirming its commitment to the women of the port, the Government of Mazatlán, through the DIF System, provided 200 new financial supports to single mothers in the port, both in the urban and rural areas. The incentive was 2 thousand pesos for each beneficiary.

Through a small ceremony, Mayor Estrella Palacios Domínguez, together with the director of the DIF, José Luis Gómez and other officials, delivered the checks corresponding to the months of September and October of this year.

The economic support program promoted by the Federal Government benefited this Friday 181 women from the urban area and 19 from the rural area, who will be able to use the money to support their daily household expenses, as well as tuition payments for their children, among others.

Mirta Olivia Higuera Ruiz, representative of single mothers, thanked the authorities for the support on behalf of all the “luchonas moms”; while José Luis Gómez highlighted the promotion of support for the family economy, in order to improve the social environment and generate better opportunities for the beneficiaries.

For her part, Mayor Estrella Palacios mentioned that the women of Mazatlán will never be helpless while she is in office, since they will always be able to count on financial support from the Government, which rewards their arduous efforts to support their families at all times.

“We want to recognize all of you as mothers; recognize your efforts, accompany you and reaffirm that in Mazatlán women are not alone, we are united, because it is women’s time. Being a mother and being the head of the family is also a story of daily struggle of hope, dedication, effort and all the sacrifices that women have to make,” said Palacios Domínguez.

“We are working every day to strengthen the security, well-being and equality of all of us. Thank you, brave women, for your trust, for your work and for never giving up. As a Government, we are here to serve you, to accompany you and to move forward together,” she added.

To conclude the event, the symbolic delivery of support was carried out to five beneficiaries: Kenia Ruiz, María de Jesús Bonilla, Karla Patricia Higuera, Adriana Zamudio and Silvia Moreno, who went through their incentives and took a souvenir photo with the Municipal President of Mazatlán.
