Mazatlán.- With the acquisition of 200 ballistic vests, the Government of Mazatlán armors its Municipal Police and reinforces the equipment of the Public Security Secretariat.
The head of the Chief Officer’s Office, Fernando Arballo Quintero, reported that the vests were acquired after a public tender whose decision was issued on October 17 and as of that date the winning company, CSI Tactical and Ballistic SA de CV; Delivery began, which will end on December 31 of this year.

The investment for the acquisition of 200 ballistic vests is 4 million 338 thousand 168 pesos, and seeks to strengthen the protection of elements in the field.
The tactical vests, level III-A with two level IV plates, will be assigned to the corporation’s operational personnel, as part of the police strengthening plan implemented by the current administration.
So far this three-year period, 16.5 million pesos have been invested in equipment for the SSPM, with the purchase of 10 patrol cars and 850 tactical uniforms, actions that contribute to the improvement of the working and security conditions of the police force.

As part of the municipality’s modernization projects, Arballo Quintero also announced the acquisition of 4 thousand LED lights for an amount of 16 million 74 thousand 700 pesos, a tender won by Electro Iluminación Ramírez SA de CV
The contract includes the delivery of 3,400 80-watt lamps, 250 150-watt lamps and 350 50-watt lamps, which will be distributed in different parts of the municipality to optimize public lighting.
The official announced that the City Council also plans to purchase vehicles for various operational areas before the end of the year, as part of the comprehensive modernization program of the Government of Mazatlán.
