* The Municipal President, Estrella Palacios Domínguez, reported that this road rehabilitation program remains permanent, through which more than 7 thousand potholes have been repaired since the beginning of her administration.

The Municipal Government, headed by President Estrella Palacios Domínguez, reiterated its commitment to citizens through the permanent MazBachetón street rehabilitation program, a strategy that seeks to address the road damage caused by the rains and the natural wear and tear of the city’s roads.
He said that since the beginning of his administration, in November 2024, the Directorate of Public Works and the Municipal Board of Drinking Water and Sewerage of Mazatlán (JUMAPAM), coordinated efforts to respond to multiple citizen requests related to patching and street maintenance.
Palacios Domínguez specified that thanks to this joint work, more than 7 thousand potholes have already been rehabilitated in different parts of the city, of that total, 3,900 were attended to by the Public Works Directorate and 3,100 by JUMAPAM, which reflects the Municipal Government’s commitment to improving mobility and road safety conditions.
“We are going to continue insisting on this MazBachetón program. It is a permanent program of our administration and we seek to work on the historical lag that exists in other administrations, where public services and also our roads were not attended to, and since we began our administration we have been working hard so that our streets have better conditions,” highlighted the Municipal President.
Currently, three crews work daily in various neighborhoods, with a schedule that prioritizes the areas with the greatest impact. In recent days, the work was carried out in neighborhoods and roads such as Genaro Estrada, México 15, Mexican Army, Campo Bello, Costa Brava and Real Pacífico.
For these days, the brigades will attend the settlements Palos Prietos, Azteca, Benito Juárez, Zapata, Jacarandas, Rincón de las Plazas, Pradera Dorada 5, Valle Bonito, Montuosa and Alameda, thus fulfilling the commitment to listen and respond to the needs of the population.
